Your safety, comfort and enjoyment is our top priority. The weather report is often inaccurate so if there are not optimal cruising conditions, we will reschedule your rental if possible. Otherwise you will receive a 100% refund.
ONE HOUR TURN AROUND POLICY; weather in the islands is often different than the forecast and hard to predict days ahead. We are the only company that offers a one hour turnaround policy. The NOAA marine forecast often looks intimidating in the winter months. Most days are small craft advisory. This is an offshore forecast. Remember, you are coastal cruising behind a giant landmass of Marys Point, which protects you from most of the easterly wind.
To put your mind at ease. We offer the one hour turnaround policy. (We are the only company in St. John that offers this Weather security) SO if you return within an hour, because the conditions are beyond your comfort level or skill set, we will refund your money and even cover the fuel that you’ve burned. We don’t want folks out there trying to get their moneys worth if they’re not comfortable!
-
Wait 5 minutes and perhaps you’ll see a rainbow! Otherwise if the sky looks dark to the east it may be longer. If it get’s to where it is putting a damper on the day, you will receive a full refund if we can’t reschedule.
-
For any other reason, there is a 48 hour cancellation policy for a refund.
For weekly rentals a 7 day cancellation is required for 100% refund. There is a 50% refund for 72 hour notice.

We’ve partnered with Beach Bum, next-door to the passenger ferry dock. They have quality gear, hats, reef friendly sunscreen, nice cotton long sleeves, rash guards and more! If renting gear same day please allow extra time to get sized and to our meeting point by your scheduled orientation time.

We now have Aluminux 12 foot center console dinghies with 25 hp, that are light enough to be pulled up on remote beaches. All other beaches will have Dinghy tie ups and are mandatory to be used if they are available.
The 14 & 16 foot dinghies are too heavy to be pulled up on the beach and mostly incur damage fees to the boats and your back! They can be brought up to knee deep water, where you can unload your tribe and the captain gets the honor of tying it up to the -close up dinghy moorings-(16 foot maximum allowance) and doggie paddling in.
-
The National Park has been so kind to install blue mooring dinghy tie ups (16 foot maximum), to protect the marine life and for the convenience and enjoyment of our visitors. They are close to most beaches and just a short swim or doggy paddle away. You can unload carefully in waist deep water and then the dinghy captain can do the tie up and swim in.
***Beware of unexpected swells due to boat traffic or changing sea conditions. ***
All the moorings are available for you to use. Feel free to pick up a white one if you’d like to sit back and enjoy a dinghy float with a majestic view!

NO ANCHORING IN THE NATIONAL PARK. The sea grass species on the ocean floor are an endangered species, anchoring kills it and depletes the main source of nutrition for all those adorable sea turtles. Not to mention the fragility of our Coral reefs, again anchoring kills it so.. NO ANCHORING. USE A MOORING, BLUE DINGHY TIE UPS OR WHITE ONES.
We do supply you with an emergency anchor, FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY in Sand!
